A cinderella stamp is an item that resembles a postage stamp (often with a face value) but not issued for postal purposes by a government. A poster stamp ("erinnofilo" in Italian) is an advertising label, usually larger than a postage stamp.

This poster stamp has the initials "SI" (possibly for "Società italiana"?) in blue centered among portraits of four Italian authors in red: Dante Alighieri, Lodovico Ariosto, Luigi Pirandello, and Alessandro Manzoni. The portrait of Dante is based on an anonymous miniature from a fifteenth-century manuscript (MS Riccardiano 1040) in the Biblioteca Riccardiana in Florence. The stamp may be from the 1970s.
