This stamp was issued by Cambodia as part of a series celebrating the 500th anniversary of the birth of the painter Raphael. The stamp features a detail from Raphael's painting <em>The Parnassus</em> showing the poets Dante, Homer, and Virgil. The stamp has text as follows: "សាធារណរដ្ឋប្រជាមានិតកម្ពុជា" (People's Republic of Kampuchea); vertically, along the left side: "500<sup><span style="text-decoration:underline;">e</span></sup> Anniv. du peintre RAPHAËL" (500th anniversary of [the] painter Raphael; the Khmer equivalent appears vertically, along the right side); "<sup>០,៛</sup>២០" (0,20 riel), "REPUBLIQUE POPULAIRE / DU KAMPUCHEA" (People's Republic of Kampuchea), and "<sup>0</sup>20 / RIEL".
